Again, I was motivated to watch this movie by K, because he loves this movie and he was touched. :P This movie is Yimou Zhang's latest movie, I like his pure love movie, not commercial one, because it shows the local people's life and how they get through life's difficulties, sometimes it is hard for us to understand what kind of situation looks like under Mao Zedong's ruling, in this movie, the boy use Mao Zedong's belief to make the girl to accept his kindness, that is so sweet. :) I like this movie also, but I was not touched very much, maybe I hold it or maybe I'm not very concentrated. So, overall, this movie is ok for me, it is a small love story, I feel the actor and actress played pretty nice, natural, and clean. The things that the boy do for girl is really nice, always take care of her even he can't be with her, always around her to look what she need, that is another way to love someone, sometimes, it is even nicer than a boyfriend. :P What makes this movie special is that this movie take care of small details a lot, that prolonged how we feel their love for each other. The best part is how they handed in handed, that's so sweet. :P And, the scene that boy clean the feet of girl was touching. :)
